At Easelang, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.





1) Who we are
Easelang (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a global language-learning and live-session platform. Contact: support@easelang.com. If required, designate an EU/UK representative and publish their contact.


2) Data we collect



  • Account & Profile: name, email/phone, password hash, language, time zone, profile photo, referral code, learning progress.

  • Payments: card/transaction details processed by PCI-compliant providers; we store billing metadata (e.g., transaction IDs, plan, currency).

  • Usage & Device: app actions (course progress, chat/support), app version, device OS, device identifiers (e.g., Firebase Instance ID/FCM token), IP/country, crash/diagnostic data, cookie/SDK IDs.

  • Communications: support tickets, in-app messages, notification preferences.

  • Media you provide: photos/videos/files for profile, assignments, submissions, or sharing; offline downloads you choose.

  • Calendar (optional): events you add for classes/meetings.

  • Audio/Video (optional): camera and microphone streams for live sessions (via Agora); not stored unless you explicitly record/consent.

  • Location: not collected directly; coarse location may be inferred from IP for localization/fraud/security.

  • Clipboard/Text (optional): text you choose to process or share.

  • Bluetooth: only to use compatible audio devices if enabled by the OS.


3) How we use data



  • Provide and improve core features (auth, courses, meetings, quizzes, assignments, chat/support, rewards, notifications).

  • Enable live audio/video via Agora and show other participants.

  • Process payments/subscriptions and manage receipts.

  • Send notifications for classes, reminders, messages, and updates (you can manage in-app/OS settings).

  • Add calendar events when you request it.

  • Prevent fraud/abuse and ensure security and quality; perform analytics and diagnostics.

  • Personalize content and recommendations where permitted.


4) Legal bases (EU/UK and similar frameworks)



  • Contract: to deliver the service you request.

  • Legitimate interests: service security, fraud prevention, analytics, product improvement (balanced against your rights).

  • Consent: push notifications, camera/mic, media library/storage, calendar access, optional recording, and certain marketing.

  • Legal obligation: accounting, compliance, and lawful requests.


5) Sharing



  • Service providers/Processors: hosting and storage, analytics/crash reporting (e.g., Firebase), real-time audio/video (Agora), payments, notifications, customer support.

  • Compliance and safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.

  • Business events: as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with notice where required.

  • We do not sell your personal data.


6) Permissions and how we use them



  • Camera & Microphone: to join/host live classes or calls (Agora).

  • Notifications: to send reminders, updates, and messages.

  • Calendar (read/write): to add/view class or meeting events you request.

  • Media/Storage (read media images/video/audio): to let you pick/upload assignments, profile photos, or course materials, and cache downloads for offline viewing.

  • Foreground service / full-screen intent: to keep active calls/notifications visible while in use.

  • Boot completed: only to restore scheduled notifications or services you’ve enabled.

  • Bluetooth connect: optional, for external audio devices during calls.

  • Internet: required for online features.


7) International transfers
Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate (including outside your country). Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.


8) Data retention



  • Account/profile/payment metadata: retained while your account is active and as needed for legal/financial obligations.

  • Uploaded media, chat, and assignments: retained while your account is active or until you delete them (subject to course/record policy).

  • Logs/analytics: retained per provider policy and minimized/aggregated where possible.


9) Your rights



  • Access, correction, deletion, and portability (where applicable).

  • Withdraw consent (e.g., camera/mic/notifications/media/calendar/recording) at any time via app/OS settings; feature availability may be impacted.

  • Object/restrict certain processing where permitted by law.

  • Opt out of marketing communications.

  • Exercise rights: contact support@easelang.com (and EU/UK representative if appointed).

  • Appeals/complaints: You may contact your local supervisory authority.


10) CCPA/CPRA (California)
We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit requests via support@easelang.com.


11) Security
Encryption in transit, restricted access to production systems, and monitoring for abuse. No method is 100% secure—use strong credentials and protect your devices.


12) Children
Not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). If we discover that we collected data from a child without their required consent, we will delete it.


13) Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new effective date and describe material changes. Continued use indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
